Amidst the ongoing fourth election phase, Andhra Pradesh Congress President and Candidate from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, YS Sharmila, reached her polling booth and cast her vote. She looked confident of her and the Congress party's win from the seat.YS Sharmila said, "I don't know if I am allowed to talk politics today or not, but I am very sure and confident of my victory here. I am also very sure that justice will prevail because that's important in sight of god, in sight of people and for society, Justice should prevail..."She spoke about the fluctuations in Congress' vote percentage in Kadapa but at the same time, she looked confident for a double-digit vote percentage in Kadapa in 2024.

Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao cast his vote in Chintamadaka village in his native Siddipet district.Chintamadaka village of Siddipet district lies under Medak Lok Sabha constituency.There are 2300 voters in Chintamadaka village.It is noteworthy that there are 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana. The 17 constituencies in Telangana are Adilabad, Bhuvanagiri, Chevella, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Malkajgiri, Medak, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Secunderabad, Warangal and Zahirabad.
Voters of Andhra Pradesh will line up at polling booths today for simultaneous elections to its 175-member Assembly and also the 25 Lok Sabha seats from the State.

Incumbent Chief Minister and YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy will be contesting from Pulivendula, and is among the several high-profile candidates in the race for Assembly, which include TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu (Kuppam) and Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan (Pithapuram).
The YSRCP is contesting in all 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha segments in the State. Meanwhile, as part of a seat sharing deal among NDA partners, the TDP was allocated 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies while the BJP will contest from six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats. The Janasena will contest two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.

AP Congress president and Jagan’s sister Y.S. Sharmila (Kadapa) and BJP State chief Purandeswari (Rajamahendravaram), among others, are in Lok Sabha poll fray.
In 2019, the YSRCP won 151 seats, TDP-23 and Janasena-1 in the last Assembly polls while the ruling party emerged victorious in 22 and Chandrababu Naidu-led party in three Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections.
It’s a do-or-die battle for major political players, be it the ruling YSR Congress or the Telegu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP), both constituents of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Rajya Sabha MP and YSR Congress Party Uttarandhra regional coordinator, Y.V. Subba Reddy faced the ire of the public for skipping the queue line to cast his vote, here in the city on Monday.
Mr. Subba Reddy came to booth No. 331 in the Mallayyapalem area in Madhurawada under the Bheemunipatnam Assembly constituency to exercise his franchise at around 10:30 a.m.
However, a number of voters who were already in the queue line questioned him for ignoring the queue line and alleged that because of the politicians their voting process was being delayed. Some voters said that they had been waiting for the last three hours and alleged that the officials had failed to provide drinking water, ‘shamiana’ (Tent) to beat the heat.
Amid the Lok Sabha elections, the Polavaram water project has taken centre stage with the political parties including the issue in their manifestoes and promising to complete the same if voted to power. Both the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its alliance partner Jana Sena Party (JSP) have vowed to complete the project and set deadlines as well. The BJP did not release any State-specific manifesto, though it is an alliance partner of the TDP-JSP in Andhra Pradesh, and the trio forms part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

With 25 Lok Sabha seats and 175 Assembly seats up for grabs, the YSRCP has entered the election race.
Telugu Desam Party’s candidate for Guntur Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh, Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, with total assets worth Rs 5,705 crore, is the richest candidate in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha election.
The total assets consists of Rs 5,598 crore of movable assets and Rs 106 crore of immovable assets, according to an affidavit filed by him.
Pemmasani will take on YSR Congress Party’s K Venkata Rosaiah, the incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Ponnur constituency and son-in-law of former Union minister Ummareddy Venkateswarlu.
Pemmasani will make his poll debut in these elections. Voting is due in Guntur on May 13 in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha election.
YSRCP MLA and candidate for state assembly elections, VSSivakumar attacks a voter in Tenali, Guntur. The voter, who was standing in a queue to cast his vote, objected to the MLA's attempt to jump the line and cast his vote without waiting. The MLA, in turn, physically assaulted the voter.
